Focus and scope

              There is room for research on the pre-Columbian past, colonial history, as well as the contemporary and current history of the American Republics, without excluding scientific fields such as anthropology, sociology or art. The Journal also accepts articles that establish comparisons with other geographical areas but from an World perspective.

 

Peer Review Process

            The MST publishes unpublished and original articles and dossiers, as well as book reviews, which will include the dates of receipt, acceptance and publication. The publication language is English; the summary in English. The requirement is that the texts are original, that they have not been previously published, and that they are not being evaluated to be incorporated into other publications. The originals are examined by external evaluators, and the final decision -made by the Editorial Committee- is communicated to the author. The maximum time elapsed from the receipt of the article to its publication is one year, although it may be altered depending on the journal's schedule. The publication frequency is Monthly.
